This post contains information relating to the formation of a Hardcore Search and Destroy Team. WE WILL PLAY HARDCORE MODE ONLY.

I have been playing this game mode almost exclusive over the past few weeks and think we could really do well with some small strategic plans and organization. If you are interested in playing on this team, please read through this and see what you think.

I am considering having a set time once or twice per week that we could compete, that way we can have a full team, and everyone will know what we are playing. Perhaps 1 to 1 1/2 hours once or twice per week. If we have enough people who want to do this, we can form two squads so everyone can play.

The following is an idea of how the team positions could be broken down.

STRATEGERY TOPICS

Here are my thoughts on a couple of tactics.

PERKS
- Claymores - on Search and Destroy these stay around even after you are killed, so if you plant one and die, you could still get the kill.

- UAV Jammer - good to use, particularly if you are a sniper, or if you are hiding.

I use these on a regular basis.


MAPS
-Most of the maps that play on SaD can use the above team concept. Vacant and Showdown are the two maps where a sniper position may not be the most useful.

OFFENSE AND DEFENSE
-How we play each map can be determined later. I do think that some maps are set up for an easy offensive attack if done correctly.

5.)Snipers are bad idea unless you're host, otherwise I recommend using an assualt rifle with ACOG. Or if using sniper use overkill.

Why do we need uav jammer when playing hardcore...if you think we are going to be as good as you say we are what makes you think someone on the other team will get 3 kills in a row without dieing?

From what I can interpret from the posts, this is what I have come up with.


TEAM POSITIONS -

Just to clarify, I was thinking that if you are position 4 on the team, you would play that on both offense and defense, that way it is easy to keep track of who is where. I think we can even play with 6 on a team in the game as well. If we have 8 or so on at a time we can even do a couple of private matches here and there.

STRATEGERY TOPICS

1.) Why do we need uav jammer when playing hardcore?
- There are some good players out there, plus those who just fire grenades at the start of a round. It does not have to be mandatory, just a thought.

2.) Dead Silence
- I like this and have been using it more when not sniping. I use headphones when I play and you really can tell where an enemy is if you just listen.

3.) Defensive Strategy
- It seems most of us are not a pursuing type of player, so it will be easy to play calmly and quietly as a survival team instead of planting the bomb and pursuing our enemy as quickly as possible.

4.) Yak as team recon officer.
- Just let us know what exactly what your duties are as TRO.

5.) Kick Yak off team.
- Agreed, but only if he does not fulfill duties as Team Recon Officer.

6.) It sounds awesome.
- Yes it does.

7.) Silenced weapons.
- Excellent. I use the G3 with silencer quite a bit. It is a one kill in hardcore and has pretty good distance with it on.

8.) Claymores
- Good for snipers and covering a target. I have found that if I wind up being last person alive and have set claymores at one target that I can go and cover the other target. I also like setting a claymore around a target that we have just armed with the bomb. Again, even if they have killed all of us, we can still get them with this.



PLAYING TIMES

We of course have different suggestions for this. It may seem that one night during the week during time frame of 4:00 - 6:00, Tuesday seems to be the best, and perhaps Sunday night would get everyone covered for at least one night per week. Unless we want to also tack on a time to practice on Fridays.

awesome Falcon, this sounds great. Oh and here is a tip for everyone. you know how if you look at an enemy player hiding it shows their name above them in red? If you are lying prone and you keep hitting weapon change (Mine is the right arror button) the other team can't see your name, so if they don't see you you can take them out easily. It works great for ninja defusing, sniping(after you fire a shot if you see someone running in your direction you can do it and they won't be able to find you)

What about Bomb Squad? I used it today on Showdown SnD and it's quite a good perk. I think the bomb runners and escorts should have to have this as then they won't give their position away by being just hit by a stray claymore planted around the bombsite? Do you get what I mean?
I also think skype should be used when we play for a more realistic game

Sounds good lemme get into practice again for it maybe. I've been hit hard with team projects in college lately but i'm not dead peeps
